Consumer Quality
Major potential as an early to second-early fresh market potato. Better than Ilam Hardy for after-cooking greying and stem end darkening and holds together well on boiling. Dry matter similar to Ilam Hardy.
Tuber Description
- Generally round-oval in shape.
- White skin and flesh.
Disease and Pest Resistance
- Resistance to late blight better than that of Ilam Hardy.
- Good resistance to powdery scab.
- Good resistance to soft rot.
- Susceptible to Ro. PCN but moderate resistance to Pa. PCN.
General
Dormancy slightly longer than Ilam Hardy. Sufficiently attractive tubers to be a good pre-pack during November-January period. Yield potential high.
